Mica in mineral makeup is ground very fine so that you do not look like you are wearing glitter. This is a very popular anti-aging and camouflaging ingredient even in non-mineral makeups.

Bismuth
Bismuth has long been a very controversial mineral. This mineral is also naturally occuring. To be put in mineral makeup, Bismuth must first be processed. This is not an easy mineral to just grind into powder. There are some that say it should not even be an earth mineral. Many use it because it creates a fresh glow on skin. But it can also cause itching if you have sensitive skin or sweat.

Talc
Talc is a classic makeup mineral. Talc has always had a major part in all makeup since the beginning of makeup. Talc is a mineral that people can be allergic to. Its main function is to be used as a filler. Talc is in most all conventional makeups. Pure mineral makeup products usually leave out talc because it is a common allergen.
