Stretch Mark Remover – Effective Treatments For Stretch Marks

Stretch marks remover- Stretch marks is a part of human life. Not many know that stretch marks are caused mainly by 2 factors which are rapid weight gain and hormonal imbalance.. Unfortunately, it is quite impossible to ignore such unsightly scars.. This is precisely the reason why there are thousands of stretch mark treatment creams, products, and procedures available today.. Unfortunately, with the many stretch mark creams available, only a few of them are actually effective and most of them work only on certain types of stretch marks.

Surgical procedures on the other hand, have proven to be the fastest and most effective way to eliminate stretch marks. Surgery can be quite expensive, though. Not everyone can afford it. And not all of those who can afford are willing to expose themselves to such a painful and risky procedure.

As I have written earlier, the two main causes of stretch marks are hormonal imbalances and rapid weight gain.. 80% of women who have been pregnant have stretch marks. The scars are mostly visible in the lower abdominal area where the skin has been stretched way beyond its limit.. Stretch marks also usually occur during puberty when one undergoes a sudden spurt growth. In some cases, stretch marks develop as a result of steroid use or a disease, which is known as Cushing’s. The extreme stretching of the skin caused by pregnancy, rapid weight or growth spurt,  damages the skin’s Elastin (a component of the skin that allows the skin to stretch and go back to its original form). The damage causes the skin fibers to tear and scar. The visible scars and discoloration of the skin are what we commonly know as stretch marks.

No doubt that there are stretch mark removers that are quite effective. However, there are very few ways to completely eliminate the scars. However, there are treatments that can help significantly in the reduction of the scars appearance.

1. To keep your skin free of stretch marks, the most effective method yet is prevention. Make sure to moisturize your skin daily especially when pregnant and adolescent stages. Apply creams or lotions that are rich in vitamin E, which helps in skin elasticity, and Aloe, which is proven to be the most effective ingredient in skin moisturization.

2. Also, along with moisturization, you would get maximum results in reducing the appearance of stretch marks if you exfoliate your skin at least twice a week.. For shallow and new scars, exfoliation alone can do wonders in improving the skin’s total appearance. Every after exfoliation, make sure to moisturize completely to keep your skin soft and supple.

3. The most effective and popular stretch mark creams available in the market today are those that contain cocoa butter. You do not need to buy expensive creams. Instead, make use of a mixture of pure cocoa butter and a splash of vitamin E. Make this a daily regimen – applying the lotion 3 times a day. For new stretch marks, its application can prove to be very effective. Unfortunately, this may not work as great for stretch marks that been there for a couple of years.

4. It is quite impossible, however, for stretch mark creams to work its wonders on old and deep scars.. You might want to opt for laser surgery. There is no pain to be suffered in this process unlike cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic lasers are known to stimulate the production of collagen. The new collagen that has been produced in the deepest layer of the skin is said to fill up the scars from bottom up.. It will take a couple of visits to your dermatologist to complete the procedure. Many patients, however, claim that laser surgery did not get rid of their stretch marks 100%. It has been proven scientifically, nonetheless, that it is more effective than any kind of stretch mark cream..

5. To completely eliminate stretch marks, or at least improve your skin’s appearance significantly, the most effective treatment to date is cosmetic surgery. Just like all kinds of surgery, there are risks associated with it and the cost itself can be quite disturbing to some. In the procedure, the skin is pulled taut to eliminate or at least reduce the appearance of the unsightly marks. If you do opt for this kind of treatment, make sure that you go to a reputable surgeon who has an impeccable track record and surgical history. Be careful of surgeons who offer cheap prices. There have been many reports where these kind of doctors practically butchered a patient’s skin.

There definitely are effective stretch marks remover. The level of success of the procedure will depend mainly on the depth and age of your scars. In conclusion, it would be wise to try stretch mark creams that are rich in ingredients mentioned above and see how well it can treat your scars before deciding on laser or cosmetic surgery.

By now, nearly everybody has seen the late night and early morning acne infomercials with Jessica Simpson and Sean “Diddy” Combs. I guess they figure, if a celebrity trusts anything, then so need to you. The promises made for the product sound surreal, and yet for many people it may be simply the cure they’re seeking. Even so, it may not be for everybody.

One of my daughters who had acquired a bad case of acne in recent years, tried the infomercial solution, and it didn’t work on her at all. Being a young adolescent, she was beset by acne breakouts and required a solution fast. But unable to locate a fast solution, we ended up really going to the local dermatologist for acne data and answers. The doctor gave her a prescription for a cream and an oral medication. After following his instructions for a couple weeks, her acne had effectively departed. This was the right solution for her, but it may not be for you – since we’re all distinctive.

Here are several general tips and hints that I’ve discovered over the years:

If you have oily skin – it’s greatest to take a medicated acne solution or one in gel form.

If you have dry skin – you’ll probably do much better with the acne cream form and medicated products with benzoyl peroxide or salycic acid.

If you have both oily AND dry skin (combined type) – you will probably need a combination of oily skin gels and dry skin acne creams to apply to distinctive parts of your fact according to the skin condition there.

If you have sensitive skin – you will much more than most likely need less intense concentrations of both dry, oily, or combined-type treatments.

If you have skin pain since of acne – you will need to get personal attention from a dermatologist.

So many individuals struggle with skin afflictions on a regular basis. With the advances in science, you’d feel that the acne difficulty would have been recently solved long ago and that acne would be a pale memory. Unfortunately the age-old confidence destroyer is still around and going strong.

Currently, reaching middle age, I find myself in a fresh situation when it comes to unsightly blemishes. Now I obtain that my skin tends to be a bit oily and I have acne breakouts after moisturizing my face. One of the few things I look forward to as I get some older is the absence of acne.

Are You Safe From Acne?

July 12, 2010 by admin

The short answer to the question ‘Who can get acne?’ is nearly everyone at some time. The analyses of the type of person and time is fascinating and useful.

Acne is a condition during which a skin pore is stopped up as a result of surplus shed skin cells and sebum, a natural skin oil, being unable to exit the pore or follicle. This can lead to bacterial increases, tearing of the follicle wall and other circumstances that encourage acne. Androgens, male and female hormones are accepted to be a prime initiator of the excess sebum production.

Since it is during our teen years that hormone levels show the fastest rates of increase it is to be expected that acne creates more problems during our teens. Acne often shows up in girls when they are about 11 and in 13 year old boys coinciding with the ages at which boys and girls enter puberty.

Once it starts, the frequency and level of seriousness is greater for males. Boys produce appreciably more androgens than girls so they tend to develop more (and worse) acne. Around 40% of teenage acne is bad enough to warrant treatment by a doctor.

Later in life the odds change.

All adults can contract acne, women more often than men. Nearly 9 out of 10 of the population of the U.S. between age 12 and 24 develop acne of some sort. Males and females tend to suffer a similar level of infection but women have more attacks after the age of 24.

One quarter of these people suffer acne on other parts of the body besides the face – frequently the back and neck. Four out of ten of acne sufferers look for professional advice because their skin is so badly affected.

There are studies that suggest that the monthly hormonal cycle of women affect the number of outbreaks of acne. Nearly 44% of women between 20 and 32 years of age exhibit premenstrual acne. The odds are even higher for women aged 33 and older. That is according to the largest study of the effects of the menstrual cycle on acne.

But acne can occur at any age.

Babies often get whiteheads. It can take nearly two months for acne in babies to disappear, which it generally does, spontaneously. People over 50 can get acne and even older. Often it is associated with taking prescribed medicines such as lithium, corticosteroids or phenobarbital. Acne is not just a teen age disease and there are many causes.

Acne affects all races, too. Though more prevalent among white races, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and other races all get acne from time to time. Treatments are essentially the same for everyone.

I am too old and in too much of a hurry to waste time with fools. The world I see often differs to the world others see. This is probably because I see the world as it really is and not as I would like it to be nor as some elevated guru tells me that it is.Happiness is reality.
